Responsible for performing general legal advice and assistance for U.S. employment-related matters within Ball Corporation and its U.S. subsidiaries, as directed by the Senior General Attorney and General Counsel.
Provides research, drafting, litigation, and other support to the Senior General Attorney, Employment Practices.
Responds to requests for legal assistance or analysis from employees throughout the company in a timely fashion in regard to employment-related matters, including but not limited to topics such as leave absence management matters, accommodation inquires, equal employment matters, policies and related exceptions, and other day-to-day employment related legal matters.
Researches, drafts, and reviews employment-related legal documents, policies, and correspondence, including but not limited to restrictive covenants, employment agreements, and other similar employment-related transactional matters.
Provides litigation support to the Senior General Attorney, Employment Practices, including discovery collection, document review, discovery production, review of pleadings, drafting administrative responses, and other similar issues.
Provides support to the Senior General Attorney, Employment Practices in hiring, supervising, and providing internal support to outside counsel in litigation and other matters relating to legal advice and project management support.
Takes personal responsibility for quality and timeliness and endeavors to continuously improve services and relationships within Ball.
Maintains highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and personal ethical behavior and individual responsibility to clients or customers.
Assists Ball in maintaining compliance with the employment-related laws and regulations.
While the regular working cycle of this position is usually five days on (Monday-Friday), this job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday); working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work irregular hours on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.

Job related experience for 3-5 year(s) minimum in the field of employment-related legal matters.
Certifications/Licenses/Other: B.S. or B.A. degree and J.D. degree from an accredited university.
Job related experience in the field of employment practices including but not limited to: Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, related state laws, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and other similar matters.
Working knowledge of the following areas: Some litigation experience is required. Some employee benefits experience an asset. Must have prepared complex and persuasive legal documents.
