Overview: BlueRock is seeking a Senior Patent Agent who will report to the Senior Director, Head of Intellectual Property and who will directly support one or more of BlueRock’s therapeutic programs, contribute to its global patent strategy, and help build the Company’s intellectual property portfolio. The successful candidate will collaborate with and support the research and development, legal, and business teams.

Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of meaningful experience prosecuting patents and advising life science companies on IP-related matters, with an advanced degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of patent drafting, prosecuting, and client counseling for a law firm and/or corporate law department in the fields of cell therapy, immunology, and/or gene editing technologies. Significant research or technical experience in one or more of these fields is highly preferred.
