The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
We are working with a large Company with good leadership that has a need for mid-level (preferred 5-10 years of experience) real estate attorney for their office.
The attorney would handle both commercial & residential real estate contracts from A to Z.
Negotiate, prepare, administer, and close real estate contracts for the acquisition of properties.
Work with in-house title counsel relative to the resolution of title matters.
Work with in-house environmental counsel relative to the resolution of environmental matters.
Prepare ancillary legal documents relative to the acquisition of land.
Primary point of contact for the Company on legal structuring and related due diligence.
Manage administrative matters and legal matters as they arise.
Supervise outside attorneys and in-house paralegals.
Establish policies and procedures related to the transaction flow and required forms and provisions for the Company to use in transactions.
Education and Experience Requirements
Admission to a state bar association required
Mid-level Experience (preferred 5 to 10 years) experience with complex real estate transactions either in-house or with a law firm
Experience in the residential development industry very helpful
Ability to manage multiple deals/matters
Excellent command of the English language; written and verbal
Strong abilities with Microsoft Word
