We are a boutique retained search firm with over thirty years of experience focusing on executive search and consulting for in-house corporate and compliance departments. Our client, a NYSE corporation in the Chicago area, has retained us on an exclusive basis to recruit an Assistant General Counsel.
Our firm has worked extensively with the Company's talented General Counsel and helped to structure and staff the legal and compliance departments. The Company is a successful leader in its industry, and has an experienced, management team committed to the core values of customer success, integrity, innovation and teamwork.
The newly created position will serve as the Company's key corporate attorney, providing advice and guidance on a variety of corporate, securities and benefits matters. We seek an attorney with a minimum of eight years of progressive corporate and securities experience, ideally with both a national law firm and a corporate law department. Although the role will provide counsel to the benefits teams, prior benefits experience is not requiried and outside counsel resources are expected to be relied upon. Strong academic and work credentials, stellar business acumen, and a proven record of successfully working collaboratively with management in a fast paced, team-oriented environment are prerequisites.
The Client's HQ based teams are working remotely through June 30, and thereafter will continue to work remotely on a part time basis. This is a terrific opportunity to practice sophisticated corporate law in a setting that supports work-life balance and may afford more predictable hours. A Chicago candidate is strongly preferred.
