The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
Oxford Global Resources, LLC is seeking an Attorney to support the company’s General Counsel and bolster its legal team in Beverly, MA. The in-house legal team provides legal support to the company’s internal business groups in the United States and Europe. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming a regular position.
Essential responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, including client master and third party service agreements, and vendor agreements.
Evaluating and resolving legal issues such as breach of contract and collection matters.
Supporting the field, corporate back office, and clients as needed.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s internal business groups.
Supporting the front office by providing practical legal advice and solving related problems.
Attending to general corporate and day-to-day legal issues.
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
Member in good standing with at least one state bar; Massachusetts is preferred.
Excellent academic record.
At least 2+ years’ experience as a corporate attorney at a law firm and/or public company.
Experience with government contracting would be a plus.
Experience working with a staffing company would be a plus.
Exposure to the following practice areas: employment, business, litigation.
Experience negotiating commercial contracts.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey legal advice clearly and effectively.
Excellent legal, business and practical judgment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills, follow-up, and attention to detail.
Ability and openness to learn new things.
