VetCor is looking for a Corporate Counsel to join its 4-attorney Legal Team at our corporate offices in Norwell, MA (our team is temporarily remote, working from home offices through December 31, 2020). This individual will assist with the legal work in connection with our veterinary practice acquisition efforts and provide general legal support to our local practice management teams. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for: - Assisting the Acquisition Team in initial purchase negotiation processes
- Drafting and negotiating acquisition documents
- Advising on regulatory and compliance matters, and completing various regulatory filings
- Administering contracts and leases
- Supporting corporate and individual practice legal needs, including, but not limited to, labor and employment, compliance, dispute and regulatory matters
Qualifications and Requirements: - At least four years of M&A experience working in a law firm or in a comparable in-house capacity
- Self-motivated, results-oriented and expertly organized work style
- A proven legal professional, with a developed business orientation and strong business judgment skills
- A “hands-on” philosophy, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills required
- Local Boston-Metro candidates preferred; no relocation available.
