The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
We are working with a start-up Company. They are looking for an attorney with extensive regulatory experience.
The attorney will be one of the main lawyers for this organization. Regulatory matters and issues will come up across the US - some that you will foresee and others you will have to react quickly to properly handle. You will be a leader on the regulatory team and will mentor others so having supervisory experience in the past is very helpful.
Total Compensation includes base, bonus, and equity.
Provide strategic counsel and advisement on state and local laws governing the launch and operation of their business lines, from land-use and zoning to health, food, business regulation and more
Be one of the “go-to” lawyers for their Ops teams around the country on anything touching the regulatory space or impacting day-to-day operations
Work closely with local legal and policy experts to develop strategies to solve regulatory obstacles
Identify potential issues with new business lines and partner with the business to find paths forward
As a core part of regulatory team, work with the global head of regulatory to continually improve the team’s ability to address the needs of the business
Must be comfortable working with unfamiliar subject matter
Prior in-house experience is a plus, especially in a high-growth company and/or industries subject to extensive regulation
Extensive experience working with governmental entities
9+years experience in the "regulatory" area
Candidate can be located in NY or South Florida
