OneMain Financial is seeking a talented, experienced, and energetic attorney with an interest in digital marketing and delivery of consumer products and services to support OneMain’s growing consumer loan business. Job Description The Associate General Counsel - Digital Lending will work closely with OneMain Financial cross-functional business partners as part of a dynamic legal team. The attorney will identify and advise of risks and provide practical solutions to address risk identified and business needs. The successful candidate will have the specific qualifications and experience: Familiarity with legal issues arising in some or all of the following areas: consumer lending, technology, consumer protection, financial services and operations. Familiarity and prior work with the following laws and regulations: UDAAP, EFTA/Reg. E, TILA/Reg. Z, GLBA/Reg. P, FCRA/Reg. V, FDCPA, ECOA/Reg. B, CAN-SPAM, TCPA and other laws affecting consumer loan and payment products and services. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and open to change and ambiguity. Possess an ownership attitude for projects and tasks. Flexibility to adapting his/her practice in response to changes in the industry. Creative thinking and strong problem solving skills. Minimum qualifications are 5 - 10 years of consumer credit experience practicing either in-house, or in an equivalent setting, or at a reputable law firm. Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree. Admitted to a state bar. Exceptional writing skills, with attention to detail. Outstanding written and oral communication skills and ability to work both in teams and independently.
