Advises management concerning legal rights, statutes, regulatory and compliance matters. interprets laws, rulings and regulations for the company. examines legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit. Acts as agent of corporation inv arious transactions. represents the company in litigation and other legal proceedings. advises management concerning transactions of business involving internal affairs, directors, officers, stakeholders and business relations with general public. studies statutes, decisions and ordinances of quasi-judical bodies.
Bachelor's degree or MBA
Juris Doctor Degree from accredited school
admitted to the stat ebar
2-6 years of experience as an attorney
Candidates should have familiarity with federal court practice, as well as with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and other federal, state and local government administrative agencies.
Candidates should also have some litigation experience, including drafting responsive pleadings, handling all aspects of the discovery process, an d drafting motions, including motions of summary judgement
