Bizzabo is looking for a strong legal professional to lead Bizzabo’s internal legal affairs and support the Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure ongoing compliance while generating new deals and business.

The person in this role will assist Bizzabo’s Go-To-Market Teams in supporting clients across all geographies and teams. This position will require a thorough understanding of Bizzabo's business model and product, the ability to develop strong client relationships, and superb interpersonal skills.
In addition, you will be in charge of all vendor-related commercial negotiations, ensuring limited exposure while driving optimal business conduct.
Lastly, additional legal responsibilities, such as employment, investors, and other affairs, may occasionally be needed.
This role will report to the VP Operations and work closely with the members of the Sales and Customer Success Teams and members of the Leadership team.
What you’ll be doing:
Negotiate and manage a wide variety of commercial contracts, including commercial sales and vendor contracts
Assist in the administration of Bizzabo's legal technology solutions for intaking, assigning, and managing commercial agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other legal requests from our internal clients
Support the Finance and Leadership team in internal and external legal work, including but not limited to investors, funding rounds, loans, etc.
Develop and refine standardized template agreements to address the evolving needs of a growing organization
Demonstrate a keen ability to issue spot sensitive legal and business concerns, including a strong sense of when to escalate (and not escalate) such matters to internal partners
Work closely with internal clients from all business units to support their objectives and advise on legal risks and opportunities related to their strategy
Who you are:
J.D. or LL.M. with strong academic credentials.
4-5 years' experience at a top law firm and in-house practice, with a strong preference for technology and SaaS companies
Competency in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts; strong working background in enterprise software/SaaS agreements
Good understanding of investors-related legal work, such as funding rounds, options, and ESOPs, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong business acumen and ability to advise on business-related legal issues
Team-oriented, consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing "win-win" solutions across a rapidly changing organization
Understanding of Software-related privacy rules, including GDPR, CCPA
A highly collaborative person who supports their colleagues, who champions our mission and wants to win as a team
Must be able to work independently and remotely with Bizzabo team members throughout the U.S. and globally
Must be an independent and strategic thinker who is a strong team player (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities
Superb organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, disruptive business
Member in good standing of the NY or comparable State Bar
