ManTech International Corporation has an immediate opening for a technology attorney in Herndon, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated technology attorney to become part of a collaborative in-house legal team. The Assistant General Counsel will provide innovative legal support for significant technology initiatives and transactions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on legal topics related to technology transactions, intellectual property, cybersecurity, data governance, and information security
Assist with the negotiation and drafting of technology and commercial contracts and agreements, including IT outsourcing, cloud services, indemnifications, software licenses, and technology and patent transfer agreements
Advise on technology initiatives relating to enterprise architecture, information security, big data analytics, operations, and other matters
Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts in IP, information security, business strategy, and technology transactions to ensure technology and agreements are consistent with applicable law and internal policies and procedures
5 or more years of experience as a technology transactions and IP attorney
Substantive knowledge and experience with technology transactions, IP, data governance, and information security
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to work well independently and on teams Focus on attention to detail and organization Sound legal judgment and business sense
Eligible for Top-Secret security clearance
Law Degree from an accredited law school (or equivalent)
Eligible for Virginia State Bar membership without examination (or Virginia Corporate Counsel Certificate)
8-12 years of experience as a technology transactions and IP attorney
In-house legal experience
Experience with enterprise architecture, government contracts, cybersecurity, technology transition, working with technology partners, and helping technology teams with rapid prototyping or use of OTAs
Active Top-Secret security clearance
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be eligible to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
