Company Overview: The National Organization of Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations (NOLHGA) is a voluntary association made up of the life and health insurance guaranty associations of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. NOLHGA was founded in 1983 when the state guaranty associations determined that there was a need for a mechanism to help them coordinate their efforts to provide protection to policyholders when a life or health insurance company insolvency affects people in many states.
Position Overview: NOLHGA is seeking to fill a senior position on its legal team. The Senior Counsel is strategically critical for the organization and reports directly to the Senior Vice President & General Counsel. The position handles many of the day-to-day business and legal issues that arise, including, but not limited to, corporate matters, regulatory matters, litigation, legislation, compliance, public policy issues, and contributing to the Organization’s overall strategic vision.
Experience: 7+ years of broad-based legal experience with significant experience in the insurance industry (life and health). Candidates with law firm and/or in-house experience encouraged to apply.
Relos: Relocation candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
