The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
BJC HealthCare, a 15 hospital health system, seeks experienced transactional attorney. This position advises internal clients on legal issues associated with a variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and other affiliation relationships. The qualified candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience, either at a law firm or as in-house counsel with a health system or hospital, knowledge of health care laws (including fraud and abuse laws), and experience in negotiating and drafting transaction related documents. Experience with other general health care legal and regulatory issues and issues related to academic medical centers would also be considered a plus.
JD degree from an accredited law school;
5-8 years of experience practicing health law with an emphasis on transactions at a law firm or large health system; and
Missouri law license (or law license from another state, but must be willing to obtain Missouri license).
