Major, Lindsey & Africa has been exclusively retained to conduct a search for a General Counsel for Evolve Treatment Centers to be located in El Segundo, CA.
Overview: Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will provide a broad range of legal services to support Evolve.
Company: Evolve offers the highest quality teen treatment available for adolescents 12 to 17 years old struggling with mental health, substance abuse, and/or behavior issues. Evolve currently operates 8 residential facilities and 5 outpatient programs across California.
Experience: Evolve seeks to hire a General Counsel to be a key member of its executive team and take ownership of its legal, regulatory and compliance strategy. In this role, the GC will report directly to the CEO, oversee the legal function and be responsible for providing legal advice to management. This will include implementation of all processes, compliance and corporate governance related to a growing company in the highly regulated behavioral healthcare environment. The GC will be expected to provide expert legal advice related to patient care, payor contracting, regulatory compliance and issues that may arise in day-to-day business. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, adaptive problem solver who functions well in a fast-paced environment and is able to assess risk thoughtfully and provide practical solutions that balance risk management with the business outcome.
Location: El Segundo, CA
Relocation: Yes, but locals strongly preferred.
Bar: Must be a member in good standing of one State Bar, preferably California.
