Overview: This is an outstanding opportunity to join an exciting and innovative development-stage company in a corporate and transactions role with a strong focus on licensing transactions. BlueRock is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Transactions (“Counsel”) to join BlueRock’s growing legal team and manage a broad variety of corporate and transactional legal matters related to business development and biopharmaceutical research and development. The Counsel will have responsibility for drafting and negotiating a wide range of complex agreements, including licensing, collaboration, research, master service, vendor and partnership agreements; partnering with business development on corporate transactions; managing a contracts manager; and advising on other general corporate matters.
Company: BlueRock is a development-stage engineered cell therapy company leveraging its novel CELL+GENE™ platform to develop regenerative medicines for intractable diseases in the areas of neurology, cardiology, and immunology. Compensation: A competitive compensation package will be offered.
Experience: The successful candidate will have 7-10 plus years of relevant corporate and transactional legal experience, with focused expertise on biotech/biopharma licensing transactions. Law firm and in-house experience preferred, but law firm candidates will be considered. Extensive experience representing life science companies and their business development teams with complex business development transactions, including licensing, collaboration, and commercial agreements required.
Relocation: This is a national search but local candidates are preferred.
