The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of attorneys who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations, nonprofits and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
Seeking a highly motivated and qualified lawyer to join the legal department. The position is located in the DC Metro area.
The primary function will be to provide commercial transaction support for sales and business teams located within the region, and other locations as required; and to support cross functional projects and initiatives. Minimum qualification & experience
A JD, LLB or LLM (or equivalent) degree with admission to the bar in at least one relevant jurisdiction, with at least 10 years post qualification experience in both domestic and international general corporate, commercial and contract law;
Knowledge/experience related to the telecommunications and/or technology industries;
Excellent technical drafter with a strong understanding of contract law, the judgment to escalate items where appropriate to other legal teams (e.g. compliance/regulatory) and/or the General Counsel;
Knowledge/experience related to the telecommunications and/or technology industries -experience in international telecommunications, particularly experience with mobile virtual network enablement (MVNE), Internet of things (IoT), cloud and edge services, and unified communications solutions is strongly preferred. Other transactional experience will also be considered - particularly related to software licensing, IT/IP, and/or outsourcing;
