Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has been exclusively retained by The Home Depot, Inc. (Company) to conduct a search for a Senior Corporate Counsel, Privacy.
Overview: Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, the Senior Corporate Counsel, Privacy provides guidance and direction in the development, implementation, and maintenance of consistent, company-wide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to privacy and data governance matters. As part of these efforts, the Counsel is responsible for the management and ongoing development of The Home Depot's Privacy and Data Governance Programs to support business initiatives and transactions and to evaluate the same for compliance with relevant laws and regulations and organizational policies and procedures.

The typical store today averages 105,000 square feet of indoor retail space, interconnected with an e-commerce business that offers more than one million products for the DIY customer, professional contractors, and the industry’s largest installation business for the Do-It-For-Me customer.
Compensation:Commensurate with experience.
Experience: 6+ years of legal practice, including prior experience as in-house counsel. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with privacy and data security laws and regulations and ability to translate that knowledge to deliver relevant and actionable guidance to the business. Specifically, possess strong substantive knowledge of legal and self-regulatory privacy and data security requirements globally (primarily North America), including, but not limited to, California Consumer Protection Act, PCI-DSS, Mobile Application Privacy Codes of Conduct, Online Behavioral Advertising Principles, State Breach Notification and Data Protection laws, FTC Act, TCPA & TSR, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, Biometrics/Facial Recognition laws, CASL, PIPEDA and various state privacy laws and industry regulations. IAPP Privacy Certification such as CIPP or CIPM highly preferred.
Bar: Admittance to at least one U.S. State Bar.
