We’re seeking a Product Counsel to join our ranks. Our lawyers are responsible for helping our clients solve exciting business challenges in the legal departments of some of the world’s largest companies. Join us on our mission to change the future of law.
Specifically, you will:
Counsel our F500 clients on a range of issues including regulatory, marketing, intellectual property, and data privacy to help internal stakeholders meet company goals.
Act as primary legal advisor for product and engineering teams, supporting them on projects from design to launch on new features, products and services, and programs
Counsel product, marketing, engineering, and other business teams on legal issues related to the provision of integrity products to help ensure compliance with consumer protection laws, privacy laws and regulations, and other legal requirements
Provide legal advice in areas including data protection/privacy laws, intellectual privacy law, internet laws and regulations, consumer protection laws, and other global legal frameworks.
Review global products, features, platforms and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, and advertising laws and regulations to ensure an ongoing ability to provide compliance advice.
Develop strong, collaborative relationships with the business.

Ideal candidate & requirements:
Experience at a technology company as a product counsel, advising on consumer protection, privacy data security, Internet law, and IP law.
5+ years of experience at a top law firm or in-house department with a focus on product or R&D.
A demonstrable passion for technology and ability to understand complex business models and product use cases quickly.
Experience taking on projects involving different subject matters, and working with cross-functional organizations.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to coherently and strategically present information and recommendations to product and engineering teams.
Ability to travel to work on-site in Seattle and an active membership with the California State Bar.
