Overview: Brightline Virgin USA is seeking a Miami-based (not open to commuting) General Counsel who will have responsibility for the Legal and Compliance functions. Partnering with executive leadership, the General Counsel will be a critical player in driving the company’s business model and executing on its growth strategies, with the ultimate objective of generating returns to stakeholders. Moreover, she or he will interact frequently with the company’s private equity ownership group and numerous external constituencies to help communicate the company’s plan and progress.

Experience: The position is ideal for an experienced corporate attorney with public company experience in the travel or logistics industry (ideally airline or rail) who wants to be the General Counsel of a high-profile, innovative public transportation and real estate development company. At least 15-25+ years of experience including working in corporate law at a leading law firm required. This individual must have extensive experience negotiating commercial contracts, including construction and permitting with government agencies.
