A global industrial company is seeking to add two business lawyers to its top tier, highly collegial law department. Candidates should present 6+ years of experience in corporate and commercial transactions, M&A, corporate governance and business advising gained at respected law firms or corporate law departments. The successful candidates’ responsibilities will ultimately depend on the background and fit of each individual hired, but overall can include M&A and other corporate transactions; drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and other legal documents (including sales and purchase contracts and distribution agreements); corporate governance; dispute resolution; compliance; and special projects at the direction of the General Counsel and other senior leadership. Serving as trusted counsellors, both lawyers should be “roll up your sleeves” attorneys who are eager to undertake diverse responsibilities and work closely with business leaders throughout the organization. Further, we seek lawyers who are intellectually curious, able to work independently, and eager to contribute to the success of this company at an exciting, transformational moment in its history. The company prefers to hire local candidates for these roles and will not be providing relocation assistance.
