We are a boutique retained search firm with over 30 years of experience focusing on executive search and consulting for in-house corporate and compliance departments. Our client, a tech-enabled PE backed financial services company, which is experiencing explosive growth has retained us on an exclusive basis to recruit a Chief Compliance Officer.
The Company's legal and compliance function is evolving under the leadership of a well-respected, innovative, engaged General Counsel. We are seeking a talented compliance executive to build and to manage the function and help the GC continue to raise the bar and support and advise management to achieve challenging and aggressive strategic business objectives. The CCO will supervise a small department of lawyers and compliance professionals and will sit at the Company's headquarters in the Chicago area.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of twelve years of substantive experience implementing, managing and monitoring an integrated compliance program. Although not required, a law degree is preferred. Compliance leadership experience with a financial services company is highly desirable, but candidates from technology enabled business services or other related industries will also be considered. A demonstrated track record of advising senior executives on the compliance issues faced by entrepreneurial, and/or rapidly growing companies is a prerequisite. Experience working with sophisticated Private Equity Sponsors is considered a plus.
