IFF is seeking a Compliance Counsel to support the management of its Global Ethics and Compliance Program including support of investigations, training, communications, audits, and remediation. This role will also oversee IFF's Global Crisis Management Program.
Key responsibilities include:
Investigations – support compliance investigations and reviews globally, including:
Managing the company hotline from intake to closure including reviewing, updating, and resolving reports received.
Conducting, and/or supervising outside service providers in conducting confidential investigations of issues including anti-corruption, protection of confidential information, misuse of company assets, conflicts of interest, employment issues, etc.; and
Managing remediation efforts including resulting employment actions from investigations as necessary.
Support management of Global Ethics and Compliance Program, including training initiatives, policy oversight and development, and communications including:
Regular review of Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (“Code”) and revising, as appropriate;
Drafting and managing the annual Code employee affirmation process;
Drafting, updating, implementing and communicating compliance policies;
Creating and conducting compliance and anti-bribery training; and
supporting management of the Company’s Global Compliance Committee and coordinating training and communications efforts
Regularly reviewing and updating IFF’s Global Crisis Management Plan and overseeing other functions on their roles as part of that plan;
Creating and conducting global training for crisis management team members;
Creating and conducting global training for all employees on Global Crisis Management Plan.
Managing compliance-related litigations and agency proceedings from inception to resolution.
Superior interpersonal skills and judgment are essential
Ability to manage fast-paced workload and add value to multiple projects simultaneously
Self-starter who demonstrates project ownership and enjoys working across departments Teamwork
Ability to travel internationally on frequent basis, as required
Understanding of multiple languages a plus
Experience in employment law a plus
4-10 years of significant experience in legal compliance field
JD from top tier US law school
Experience counseling clients on anti-corruption and compliance in international matters
Experience creating and conducting training modules and formulating policies
