Rare opportunity for an internal investigations specialist, ideally a 2011 or more senior-level JD, to transition to an in-house setting to handle internal investigations related to procurement. This position will serve as one of five attorneys responsible for company-wide internal investigations and related white collar work, with a particular emphasis on False Claims Act, potential disclosures under the FAR Mandatory Disclosure Rule, or insider threat matters. Previous experience gained in an AmLaw 50 firm conducting internal investigations stemming from government contracts matters or False Claims Act litigation is required. The parameters of this search are narrowly drawn, and on point experience is required given rarity of position and high profile nature of these investigations.
This attorney will advise management and employees concerning risk assessment and mitigation relating to various business activities undertaken by the corporation, to include compliance with the policies and procedures of the company and applicable laws and regulations.
At any given time, pending matters in the department average 150-200 and include responding to subpoena requests, investigating fraud allegations and ethics violations, and certain whistleblower matters.
This attorney will conduct analysis regarding potential disclosures under the FAR MDR and facilitate execution of any disclosure.
He/She also will supervise outside counsel on special projects including complex document production.
