Overview: The Associate General Counsel, Retailer Relations & Distribution will primarily be responsible for supporting two of Hallmark’s core businesses - (1) Hallmark Greetings, which designs, manufactures, and sells Hallmark greeting cards, gift packaging and presentation, and other social expressions through various channels of retail distribution in the United States, including major retailers, grocers, and pharmacies, as well as online; and (2) Hallmark Retail.

Compensation: A competitive compensation package, consisting of a base salary, bonus, and long-term incentive compensation, will be offered for this position, consistent with a candidate’s level of experience.
Experience: 15+ years of legal experience in distribution contracts, anti-trust/anti-competition, unfair business practices, and franchising focusing on areas of law pertinent to doing business with mass channel retailers as well as a network of independently owned and operated specialty retail shops. Experience handling issues in online retailing and working in an omni channel environment is strongly preferred. Prior in-house legal experience is required.
Location: The position is located at Hallmark’s corporate headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri.
Relocation: Yes - this is a national search. Relocation to the Kansas City area is required.
