Reporting to the General Counsel, the Compliance Officer is responsible for design, implementation, oversight, and ongoing management of corporate compliance and corporate regulatory practices and programs. These programs will promote a culture of ethics compliance and assist Advantage Solutions in complying with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and internal policies. The successful candidate:
Will be responsible for advising and counseling multiple businesses and corporate support functions, including governance, financing, business development initiatives and advising on governance and regulatory matters, in close collaboration with the legal department, internal audit, finance department and the executive leadership team;
Will oversee corporate investigations and manage a team of internal investigators;
Will be actively involved in creating, maintaining and distributing corporate policies related to corporate governance, including the Company’s Ethics and Business Conduct Policy, FCPA and anti-bribery legislation;
Will be responsible for receipt, review and appropriate distribution of reports received through reporting channels set up for “whistleblower complaints”, including third-party hotline system;
Will provide reports on compliance topics as requested to senior leadership and/or committees of the Company’s Board;
Will work with operational divisions and internal audit teams to develop, communicate and maintain corporate governance programs, certifications, trainings, policy development and testing;
Will develop and propose new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations;
Will ensure implementation of strong internal controls and report quarterly findings to Audit Committee/Board; and
Will ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and appropriate disclosure of Company policies and procedures and internal controls.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Compliance Officer should have prior experience developing and/or managing a corporate compliance program within a large, global organization.
A combination of top tier law firm and in-house experience with a strong compliance focus is a plus.
Experience with corporate investigations and accounting/auditing is also a plus, as is meaningful experience with corporate privacy matters.
Demonstrate leadership, with ability to balance legal and business considerations, multi-task, problem-solve and operate in fast-paced and rapid growth environments.
Experience with complex commercial and business development transactions (including contract interpretation and conducting investigations).
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders and other professionals and colleagues at all levels of the organization while utilizing excellent business and legal judgement in complex situations.
Strong pragmatic problem solving, critical thinking and business acumen with the ability to be adaptable and flexible in approach and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and high energy environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team, and to inspire and mentor others.

Juris Doctorate Degree and excellent credentials from an accredited Top-Tier Law School and undergraduate school
Active bar membership in good standing in the United States
Should have at least 10 years of relevant compliance, regulatory, and privacy experience
The position will involve occasional travel within the continental U.S. and internationally.
