Individual is responsible for providing legal support to the Women's and Children's Division under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer. Individual is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, providing guidance on regulatory matters, providing general legal support for the operations of the Division. Individual will also be instrumental in assisting and advising the leadership team on strategic planning.
Draft, review, negotiate and oversee preparation of service agreements with hospitals and employment agreements and independent contractor arrangements with professional clinicians.
Draft, review, negotiate and oversee preparation of a variety of other agreements.
Provide guidance and support for the operations of the medical practices in the Division.
Advise the Division and Corporate departments on contractual obligations and the laws and regulations that govern the business of such Division.
Work with the Division and the Human Resources department on employment matters.
Assist with acquisitions.
Advise on regulatory matters.
Perform other duties as assigned
J.D. and 10-15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Member of the Florida Bar Association or ability to obtain Florida Authorized In-House Counsel Status
Four to Five years of corporate legal experience gained working at a large law firm or public company.
Experience working for hospital systems is a plus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to travel, as necessary
