OhioHealth Corporation, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit, charitable, healthcare organization based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking to fill two (2) Assistant General Counsel positions each with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare and business law experience, to join its Office of the General Counsel. These positions will report to the System Vice President and Associate General Counsel. The Assistant General Counsels will provide legal advice on healthcare related legal matters for the organization and its affiliates. Specifically, these positions will be responsible for a wide variety of healthcare legal services which may include regulatory analysis including Stark, Fraud & Abuse, IRS and other healthcare regulations, mergers and acquisitions, and business agreements, medical staff, privileging and credentialing, and general hospital legal representation. These positions require an individual with an undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor degree from a recognized national school of law with a superior academic record and a license to practice in the State of Ohio (or receives license within 12 months of employment and has some familiarity with Ohio law). The qualified candidate will have significant healthcare transactional and regulatory law experience either in a law firm, governmental agency or in-house legal department (or combination thereof).
