Karyopharm is seeking to fill the role of Associate GC. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer & General Counsel, the Associate GC will work closely with legal and executive leadership and be responsible for SEC compliance and reporting, corporate governance, financing activities, general corporate legal support for business operations, employment law matters, and litigation management.
Karyopharm is an oncology focused, publicly-traded pharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel first-in-class drugs directed against nuclear export and related targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases. The Company’s lead compound, XPOVIO™ (selinexor) received accelerated approval from the FDA in July 2019 for the treatment of patients with heavily pretreated multiple myeloma and has been commercially launched in the United States.
The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of legal experience representing publicly-traded life science companies, including both major law firm and in-house experience. Strong securities and corporate governance experience required, including demonstrated knowledge of US securities laws and experience coordinating filings and disclosures. Experience managing litigation and advising on employment law matters a strong plus.
A highly competitive compensation package including equity will be offered for this position consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
