Major, Lindsey & Africa has been engaged on an exclusive basis by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) to identify a Chief Compliance Officer to work at its headquarters in Woodland Hills, CA. CARD is the largest and leading provider of autism behavioral health services for children and adults affected by autism spectrum disorder. CARD was founded in 1990 by leading autism expert, licensed psychologist and behavior analyst Doreen Granpeesheh, PhD, BCBA-D. Blackstone invested in CARD in May 2018, and will partner with the CARD executive team to accelerate the company’s market leadership and growth.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Compliance Officer provides the design, implementation, oversight, and ongoing management of CARD's Corporate Compliance, Corporate Regulatory, Corporate Privacy and Audit functions. The Chief Compliance Officer's primary responsibility is to help CARD establish and operate effective programs for Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory and Audit. These programs will promote a culture of compliance and assist CARD in complying with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, professional standards and healthcare program and payor requirements. The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant compliance, regulatory, privacy and audit experience within a healthcare organization with multi-state locations. S/he must also have prior experience developing and managing a corporate compliance program in a growing multi-state enterprise. A combination of top tier law firm and in-house experience in the healthcare space with a strong compliance focus is a plus. Experience in healthcare services or the healthcare industry generally is preferred. Some experience with payor contracting is a clear advantage as is experience handling employment compliance, particularly wage and hour matters.
