Assist in protecting the organization's legal interests and maintaining its business within the law.
Provide hands-on counsel to all levels of the company, including its executive staff, and assists in managing the operations of legal department.
Partner closely with the business and with department colleagues to support and advance corporate strategies and goals.
Identify, analyze and resolves complex legal issues; draft key documents; provide legal counsel, assistance and representation to diverse parts of the organization, and across a broad range of substantive matters and areas.
Negotiate, draft and concludes complex legal transactional documents including, as needed: agreements with customers, suppliers and other alliance partners; M&A transactions; product licenses.
Identify and develop solutions to legal issues affecting the company’s relationships and practices in a manner that supports the company's business interests and advances its goals.
Collaborate with and provide clear advice, strategic direction and guidance to clients on a variety of matters.
Interact with and advises senior executives, international colleagues and all other levels of management; present the legal voice on various cross-functional teams in diverse areas throughout the organization.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies and practices.
Manage outside counsel and other vendors effectively within applicable budgets.
Consider the impact of federal and state laws, regulations and developments affecting the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, including US anti-kickback, government pricing, anti-bribery/anti-corruption and antitrust laws.
May manage attorneys in several legal specializations.
JD and admitted to a state bar.
