A large portion of our business is secondments (temporary engagements) where our lawyers work for our clients who have staffing gaps due to parental or medical leaves, restructurings, hiring freezes and a host of other reasons. Our temporary engagements last, on average, one year and they often convert into permanent positions with our clients. So, Bliss is also a means for attorneys to find permanent jobs either through an initial temporary term or a direct hire. The majority of our clients are companies but we also have law firm clients.
We are seeking to expand our talent pool to correspond with the increase in our client activity in these regions of the country. As such, we are soliciting resumes of attorneys with experience in corporate and transactional matters including, but not limited to, M&A, capital markets, securities, corporate governance, life sciences, commercial contracts and intellectual property/technology transactions, among others.
