The Legal Director is responsible for overseeing all IES Communications contract review, execution and processing activities, as well as acting as the point person on customer dispute matters.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform legal reviews of all customer and vendor contracts and serve as company’s primary negotiator with third parties on legal matters.
Oversee processing and execution of all customer contracts and ensure that company policies regarding contract processes are followed.
Serve as company point person for resolution of customer disputes.
Have a detailed knowledge of company policies and procedures for all customer facing processes. Identify areas for process improvement, suggest possible changes, and implement agreed upon procedural changes.
Interface with external customers as needed to understand customer legal and contract processes and determine best methods for IES to comply with customer process needs.
Interface with internal customers to understand their needs and issues so that legal processes are well designed, properly documented and clearly understood throughout the organization.
Interface with internal and external auditors and provide audit schedules and data
Function as in-house subject-matter expert on all legal matters.
Primary legal point of contact for prequalification and bid response questions
Interface with IES corporate Legal department as needed to ensure consistency with corporate legal policies and compliance with corporate processes.

Must have previous experience with contract review and dispute resolution
Must have strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
Must have excellent work ethic, adapt well to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
Must have interpersonal skills and a commercial orientation
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
Must possess a J.D. and be licensed in Arizona or any other state
Must have at least five (5) years legal experience, including contract review and negotiation responsibilities
Must possess strong process management skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe and general business software.
