This role is critical to the ongoing strategic growth of our client and it is an opportunity to work as part of a growing Commercial Legal team and more particularly supporting the procurement, outsourcing and technology business units. This position will have emphasis on commercial contracts and agreements, particularly focusing on procurement and third-party supplier agreements with the requirement to deliver commercially astute legal advice upon review of existing agreements and contracts as well as drafting and negotiating new agreements and contracts to support procurement, outsourcing and technology activities.
Advise, draft and negotiate commercial / procurement / supplier contracts and agreements.
Collaborate closely across the business to ensure shareholder approval is obtained and contracts are effectively finalised.
Work with external counsel where required.
Advise the business with respect to updates, escalation of issues whilst identifying and advising on risk.
Provide advice both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate an ability to confidently work on detailed and at times complex procurement and supplier agreements confidently.
Ideally you will:
Have a degree in Law with post qualified experience in England & Wales (or other common law jurisdiction) of up to 7 years wherein you are confident in your ability to provide legal advice required as outlined above.
Be very detailed focused and enjoy working across what can be at times lengthy, complex and detailed commercial contracts and arrangements.
Enjoy working closely with the business and have a collaborative approach.
Enjoy working strategically and objectively towards a company’s vision and goals.
Be able to deliver commercially minded and pragmatic legal advice.
