Currently, we're on the hunt for an exceptional Financial Services Regulatory Compliance Lawyer to join our ranks for project based work in Zurich and Geneva:
Swiss university degree in Law, an LLM is of advantage. Admission to the Swiss bar is preferred;
5+ years’ experience in financial services; preferentially experience in larger financial service organizations;
Good knowledge of the Swiss financial regulatory environment and the interpretation of Swiss banking and contract law;
Experience advising on legal and regulatory provisions concerning the Swiss market; In particular, experience with FIDLEG, MiFIDII, PRIIPs and CISA is of advantage;
Prior role as a lawyer at a law firm and/or with an in-house compliance or legal department of a bank or financial services organization;
Fluency in German and English, any other languages are a plus;
Part-time or full-time availability;
Solution orientated and efficient working style.
The responsibilities for this role will include:
Providing internal legal support on an international basis;
Working with and advising internal business clients directly, as well as providing guidance on a full range of issues associated with regulatory compliance regimes.
Ability to maintain overview of regulatory framework and its implications across multiple sectors of the financial institution, whilst providing specialist legal advice to individual business units;
Research and provide advice on complex legal matters where prior advisory support is not available and in harmony with current compliance environment.
Good Communication and working capability within an international team setting.
