Our client, a dynamic fast-paced Fortune 100 technology company, is seeking an experienced litigator to join as head of litigation for one of their largest business units.
Responsibilities for this role will include the following: • Coordinating, developing strategies for, supervising, guiding and resolving a wide variety of litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including commercial, product liability, intellectual property and insurance coverage matters and government investigations • Managing and budgeting outside litigation counsel • Working with business leaders and corporate staff to articulate risks and benefits of legal strategy • Helping the businesses develop and implement processes, procedures, and systems to promote risk avoidance and prevent litigation • Supporting M&A due diligence investigations • Providing strategic litigation advice to the business
Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be considered: • Ten to twenty years litigation experience in all phases of litigation including strategy development, discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, trials and dispute resolution. • In-house experience or client interaction a plus. • A strong academic record from top schools • Demonstrated ability to cost-effectively prosecute and defend litigation in a manner designed to bring swift, favorable outcomes with maximum impact • Strong business acumen to help business leaders balance risk and reward
