Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has been exclusively retained by Advanced Recovery Systems (Company) to conduct a search for a Chief Compliance Officer position.
Overview: ARS seeks to hire a Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer to be a key member of its leadership team and implement its corporate compliance strategy. He or she will report directly to the Company’s CEO. The CCO will serve as the Company’s senior corporate compliance officer, responsible for establishing, managing and overseeing ARS’ compliance program consistent with applicable laws, regulations, best practices, and high ethical standards.
Company: Advanced Recovery Systems (https://www.advancedrecoverysystems.com) is an integrated behavioral healthcare company which owns and operates its own behavioral healthcare facilities across the U.S. Private equity-backed by Goldman Sachs, the Company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is our second search for ARS (we were recently retained to handle their GC search).
Experience: The ideal candidate will have: (a) a minimum of 12 years of relevant legal and/or compliance experience, including at least 5 years’ experience managing the corporate compliance function at a healthcare company, ideally on provider side; (b) a proven history of successfully designing, implementing and monitoring robust compliance structures within organizations in the healthcare space; (c) experience with and knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to national healthcare providers; (d) prior interaction with executive management, Boards of Directors and/or their Committees; and (e) demonstrated success at building a strong, cohesive team, growing talent within a high-growth environment, and interacting constructively with a variety of personality types. Bachelor’s degree required. J.D. would be preferred but is not a strict prerequisite.
