Advise and counsel management and project managers regarding a wide variety of issues relating to major construction projects, change orders, contract interpretation, compliance and procurement matters.
Review, take exceptions and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
Member of the New York State bar
5-10 years of legal experience with a law firm or as in-house counsel
Demonstrated sound business and legal judgment
Entrepreneurial mindset: flexible, self-starting and hard-working
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Significant prior experience in litigation and commercial transactions, with particular emphasis on construction law, disputes, claims analysis and procurement matters (public agency procurement experience preferred).
Excellent writing and legal research skills
