We are looking to hire a seasoned commercial /corporate attorney to facilitate our growth through reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex agreements. You will be a business partner with our internal departments to develop new policies and procedures and manage legal risk to ensure compliance with LSB’s high standards. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts to support all aspects of the business, including agreements with customers, suppliers and service providers.
Working with and guiding specialized external legal counsel to ensure that the Company’s strategies and interests are being supported and advanced appropriately.
Directing the defense of LSB against suits or claims while working with and managing outside counsel on an as-needed basis.
Advising on legal implications of different strategies relating to initiating, maintaining and terminating contractual relationships.
Performing legal activities related to the acquisitions of new businesses and dispositions of existing businesses, including participating in due diligence reviews and negotiations of pertinent agreements.
Utilizing a broad familiarity with major legal disciplines to provide internal clients with timely advice and counsel to minimize risk and advance the interests of LSB.
Supporting to HR team members and advises them on implementation of HR initiatives under applicable labor and employment laws.
Developing, administering, and implementing templates, policies and training initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and LSB policies and practices.
Keeping informed of new developments in corporate legal matters and advises internal clients accordingly
Must be a team player and a corporate generalist who is willing to take on a variety of tasks.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to high ethical standards.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma or be licensed and in good standing in another state or jurisdiction.
4-6 years of relevant corporate legal environment or private practice of corporate legal matters.
Able to functions within a team environment with a high level of engagement and motivations.
Able to manager multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Sound personal skills and confidence, with an ability to work under own initiative, often under cost or time critical conditions.
