This position is an opportunity for a talented generalist lawyer to serve in an impactful, business-oriented in-house legal role in the medical device industry, as the sole attorney directly supporting ZOLL’s Cardiac Management Solutions business. The position reports to the Vice President and General Counsel, located in Chelmsford, MA, and will also interact significantly with the President and senior management of the Cardiac Diagnostic Solutions business. ZOLL’s Cardiac Management Solutions business is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with offices in Cologne, Paris, Tel Aviv, and San Jose, CA. Its primary product is the LifeVest wearable cardiac defibrillator, the only device of its kind, which is worn by thousands of people at high risk of sudden cardiac death, and which on average saves three lives each day.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of legal experience at both a top law firm and an in-house legal department, including foundational training as a general corporate attorney and as a generalist with substantive knowledge and experience in commercial matters. Serving as a critical member of a dynamic team, the Counsel will partner with the business to review, negotiate, and draft a wide range of commercial agreements, manage litigation, and provide legal advice on a broad range of issues. Experience in health care or medical devices is desirable.
