Sr. Commercial Counsel role at a global tech company in Raleigh, NC. Qualified candidates will possess:
7+ years of relevant professional experience in software and IT services contract negotiations and solid knowledge of commercial and contract law; experience with open source technology is a plus
In-house commercial contracting experience dealing with technology revenue transactions and supporting a sales organization, or law firm experience drafting and negotiating complex business transactions like mergers and acquisitions (M&A) agreements, debt and equity financing arrangements, business-process outsourcing agreements, etc.
Experience with indirect sales through channel partners, including resellers, distributors, systems integrators, OEMs, ISVs, and cloud providers
Understanding of key business and legal issues and challenges when selling through business partners
Demonstrated passion for technology, software, intellectual property, or open source or copyleft licensing issues
J.D. degree from a top law school with excellent academic credentials
