Special Counsel is seeking a part time attorney to assist a corporate legal department in a senior counsel role. This position offer flexible hours and a challenging work load!
Job Responsibilities include:
Review, revise, and, negotiate various types of documents and contracts to completion on the Company’s behalf, including Requests for Proposals and Invitations to Bid from local governments.
Conduct legal research on issues as assigned and draft legal memoranda, including recommendations and advice. May include research on statutes, regulations, and ordinances and opinions on applicability and interpretation.
Assist sales or operations divisions with investigating and resolving minor disputes.
May provide litigation assistance, investigation, discovery, and work with outside counsel under the direction of the Senior Legal Counsel.
May provide general legal advice and counsel to mid-level management.
May review pending legislation and advises management of changes that impact the Company, business and industry.
Transactional Experience: Experience in drafting, revising and negotiating customer and other sales contracts, purchase and sale agreements, municipal and vendor agreements of various types.
Municipal or Governmental/Regulatory Experience. Experience in municipal, regulatory, or administrative law is a plus.
