Overview: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President, Strategic Affairs, this position will be responsible for oversight of the Association’s legal affairs. This will include internal affairs and strategic planning on key initiatives to meet the Associations goals and objectives, in addition to ongoing issues such as guidance on disputes, agreements, and relations with external parties. This position will also directly supervise staff.
Experience: At least 8-10 years of progressively responsible legal experience, with a preference for experience in nonprofit governance and administration. Experience working with associations is a plus.

Location: Alexandria, Virginia.

Bar: Current membership in the Virginia State Bar, or the ability to become registered in-house counsel in Virginia under Part I of Rule 1A:5 of the Virginia Supreme Court Rules.
