Overview: The General Counsel plans and directs all aspects of High Company LLC’s, High Industries Inc.’s and High Real Estate Group LLC's legal affairs and ensures maximum protection of their legal rights. The General Counsel provides legal counsel and strategic guidance to Management on all legal matters; supervises and coordinates the work of outside attorneys and consults with them on sensitive legal issues; drafts agreements; reviews and develops policies, procedures, bylaws, resolutions, and other documents related to governance, regulatory compliance and contracts. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will serve as the Corporate Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee of the High companies.

Compensation: A competitive compensation package, consisting of a base salary, annual bonus and long-term incentive program, will be offered for this position, consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of in-house and firm legal experience. Experience with commercial contracts, corporate transactions, M&A, labor and employment law, construction law and litigation and compliance (licensing, anti-trust, etc.) required. Candidates with construction and/or heavy manufacturing industry experience are strongly preferred. Commercial real estate experience is also strongly preferred.
Relocation: Yes, but regional candidates strongly preferred.
