Bliss Lawyers is seeking a corporate/sponsorship attorney with at least five years of experience of negotiating advertising, talent and content deals. Role includes analyzing contracts and advising on privacy, copyright, and other intellectual property rights. The role requires knowledge and experience in commercial transactions, the ability to produce high quality work product in a fast-paced environment, strong business acumen and superior communication skills. In addition, this individual must be a problem solver who can identify substantive legal and business issues and proactively provide solutions to the legal and business leaders. The attorney hired will work in the Brooklyn office of a multi-media corporation a few days a week, and may work remotely on other days. Experience at a top law firm is required and experience in the in-house legal department of a media company is a plus. Qualified candidates will have experience handling confidentiality contracts, live production agreements, and contracts with media agencies and various advertising/sponsorship platforms. Experience with copyright and trademark is a plus. Admission to the New York Bar is required. This is a full-time, temporary role that will start at about 30 hours per week and ramp up to about 40 hours per week after three months. The job is expected to last about five months and may extend or convert to become a permanent role with the company. Interviews will begin immediately and the engagement will start as soon as a qualified candidate is identified.
