Major, Lindsey & Africa has been exclusively retained by global medical device company Advanced Bionics (AB) to conduct a search for an Assistant General Counsel to be located in its Valencia, California, US headquarters. With operations in over 50 countries and a track record for developing high-performing, state-of-the-art products, Advanced Bionics develops cutting-edge cochlear implant technology that restores hearing to those with severe-to-profound hearing loss.
Reporting to AB’s Switzerland-based General Counsel as well as the company’s President in Valencia, the AGC will, for the time being, be the only attorney on the ground at the company’s US HQ. With at least five (5) years of transactional legal experience under his/her belt—preferably gained both at a leading law firm and in-house, with exposure to and experience in healthcare regulatory law, including healthcare compliance and related topics—the AGC will work closely with employees at all levels of AB’s organization. Relocation assistance will be offered to the winning candidate and preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked for a medical device company, either in-house or in private practice.
