Commercial Contracts/ Real Estate Lending Attorney- Senior Counsel - Direct Hire Denver, Colorado
Our client, a leading service provider in the financial services industry is looking for an 8 plus years complex commercial real estate lending and technology-licensing counsel to support the business and legal team. The purpose of the role of the attorney is to provide legal expertise and transactional support to business lines, with an emphasis on the divisions that provide valuation, risk management, and transaction advisory services to the commercial and residential lending industries. This role serves as a safeguard for the firm’s reputation by providing legal counsel to business unit leaders, properly documenting business relationships and services and assisting in compliance with the company’s legal obligations and requirements. Responsibilities would include support to meet the legal needs of the company’s business lines that provide professional support in connection with commercial and residential real estate assets, including valuations and appraisals, interest rate risk management services, including hedging services, all and other model development and validation services and core deposit studies and asset sale advisory services for residential loans and mortgage servicing rights. You would be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and participating in a complex commercial contract, technology licensing contract negotiations with clients and vendors. You will be responsible for addressing complex matters with multiple stakeholders and legal and business considerations. You will assist with litigation management and provide support to the business units and legal department operations. You will work collaboratively as a member of a legal and compliance team and assist with contract standardization processes. We are looking for 8 plus years of commercial and technology licensing contracts, commercial real estate lending, professional valuation services, banking or related industry experience. Prior law firm and current in-house legal experience is required. Extensive commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience are required. Qualified candidates should have a JD from a top tier law school and should be licensed to practice law, ideally in Colorado.
