Sophisticated corporate boutique law firm in Austin, Texas, seeks associate attorney with experience in technology transactions and licensing. Large law firm and in-house experience desired.
This firm represents many technology, start up and emerging growth companies which is the heart of Austin’s booming economy. They also represent consumer goods and retail companies in later stages of growth and in day to day business matters.
The firm is seeking a mid-senior level attorney with experience in technology transactions and licensing to support significant new business. Below is a summary of the position and desired experience:
Draft and negotiate technology agreements, including: software license, SaaS, consulting, development, manufacturing, supply, distribution, marketing, OEM and NDA.
Support IP and licensing matters in M&A and other corporate transactions.
Knowledge of open source license agreements and compliance best practices.
Understanding of intellectual property – in particular, trademarks and copyrights. Familiarity with IP prosecution and enforcement a plus.
Superior academic record and national law firm experience required. In-house experience in this field is a big plus.
