You will be the first legal hire reporting to the CFO. Responsibilities to include ownership of all aspects of Pantheon’s negotiations with customers and vendors, instituting compliance policies while maintaining the entrepreneurial culture of the company, oversight of legal operations, and working with outside counsel on all aspects of Intellectual Property, Privacy, employment, and corporate issues.
We are looking for a practical attorney who is interested in learning about our technology, can enable our go-to-market strategy, and will establish her or himself as a trusted business partner to every executive as well as a company-wide thought leader.
Cool Things You’ll Do
Collaborate with Pantheon executive team on setting legal priorities for the company and individual functions
Work with Pantheon’s Sales team to negotiate strategic customer contracts, close deals in the most efficient manner, and educate sales representatives to effectively sell Pantheon’s legal terms
Institute company-wide compliance processes for all areas of the business, including privacy, employment practices, vendor relationships, and Intellectual Property management
Design, implement, and oversee processes and technologies for scalable Legal Operations
Protect Pantheon’s Intellectual Property rights and exposure
Address other ad-hoc or specialized legal issues in conjunction with outside counsel
What You Bring To The Table
Relevant experience: Six to eight years of experience in a premier law-firm and / or in-house with experiences in technology companies, privacy policies, and open-source software a plus
Technical skills: High level expertise in the areas of software procurement contracts and privacy
High EQ: Ability to listen and work in concert with counterparties to find mutually agreeable solutions in negotiations;
Structured thinking: Comfort with business metrics and ability to break down complex legal problems into business and legal risks; ability to explain legal issues to business and technology focused partners
Passion: Strong sense of ownership, desire to make a cross-functional impact, eagerness to learn, customer orientation.
