Our client, a leading Fortune technology driven company headquartered in Silicon Valley, is seeking an experienced Ethics & Compliance lawyer to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing company’s Ethics and Compliance program, and will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs and awareness activities for ethics and legal compliance issues; directing compliance program activities designed to strengthen adherence to key policies and requirements, and leading investigations.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
-Identifies and mitigates compliance risks
-Develops, implements, manages and continuously improves internal controls designed to promote compliance with law and company policy
-Develops live and online compliance training and communications
-Point of contact and key advisor for senior executives regarding ethics and compliance matters
-Manages and responds to all issues raised through the Global and Regional Ethics Hotlines
-Leads internal investigations of potential violations law or company policy; requires ability to balance multiple priorities based on legal risk to Company
Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be considered:
-Fifteen to twenty years of legal and management experience (including employment at top tier law firm; relevant government office; and/or in-house counsel)
-Hands-on substantive experience in conducting and directing investigations of potential violations of law and policy; strong substantive knowledge of fraud investigations and corporate internal investigations
-Strong interpersonal, writing and communications skills; ability to work cross functionally and with global, diverse teams; ability to clearly articulate and present complex legal advice to both executive and working level audiences
-Proactively identifies and solves complex problems; thinks beyond existing solutions and frameworks
