Finance/Vestas Legal & Compliance - AME
The Associate Corporate Counsel provides legal support for Vestas, the leading global provider of wind power plant solutions, in the United States and Canada. This position drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide variety of contracts; conducts research and presents findings and recommendations; managing external counsel where necessary; and interacts with global legal and business colleagues on multi-jurisdictional transactions and initiatives.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts including non-disclosure, independent contractor, purchasing, and sales agreements;
Research legal issues, present findings, and make recommendations to company lawyers, legal staff, and clients;
Manage external counsel;
Work effectively with global legal and business colleagues;
Support the company’s legal staff on fast-paced and complex transactions;
Provide practical, timely, and accurate legal advice;
Work closely and effectively with General Counsel, other company legal staff, and employees of all levels and cultures within a global organization;
Provide training on legal issues.
J.D from an accredited law school, admission to state bar, and ability to practice law in Oregon;
Two to five years of experience practicing law in a law firm;
Client service orientation;
Strong negotiating, drafting, organization, and communication skills;
Ability to excel and be a good teammate in a fast-paced and demanding work environment;
Comfort with ambiguity;
